Elizabeth Joanna Mitchell, born on the 27th March 1970 in New York City at 5'9" she is an acclaimed American actress. Her credits includes Dr. Juliet Burke from ABC television's Lost series as well as FBI Agent Erica Evans for V. Gia, and The Escape Clause. Mitchell appear on Eric Kripke's TV show Revolution which airs on NBC. Mitchell's stepdad Joseph Day Mitchell and mother Josephine Marian Mitchell (nee Jenkins) are both lawyers who reside in Dallas. Mitchell and her mom moved to Dallas Texas from California in 1970. In 1975 the Mitchell's mom got married Joseph Mitchell. Mitchell earned her high school diploma from Booker T. Washington High School Visual and Performing Arts, which is a school that is a Magnet Public School. She is the senior of her three sisters; with the two other sisters being Kristina Kristie Mitchell (the most eldest) Mitchell and Katherine Day Kate Mitchell. In 1991, she graduated of Stephens College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting and also studying in the British American Drama Academy.Mitchell worked for six years in Dallas Theater Center and a one-year stint in the Encore Theater. The actress is known today for her role as the character of Special Agent Emily Prentiss on the CBS crime show Criminal Minds.
