Awkwafina

Awkwafina, an American performer and actress, started with a series of rap songs that dealt with issues of sexual and race. Her fame grew into Hollywood after she released an album of raps. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese as well as Korean parents in Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was the first instrument she played for her. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop education began when she was a teenager. While at school, she majored in journalism and women's studies at college, even learning Mandarin in Beijing for a stint. She turned her attention to music once she finished her studies. Her My Vag song, My Vag which was her response to Mickey Avalons My Dick, became a viral hit across the Internet and was later featured on her first LP Yellow Ranger. The album also included viral hits such as the body-positive Queef or winking hometown tour the city of New York Bitche$. The final track was connected directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide which was published in 2015. In addition to having published a book as well, she also worked as a performer. In addition to early television shows like Girl Code and Tawk, she has also been featured in movies like Neighbors2Storks, and Bad Rap. In 2018, her breakthrough performances included Dude Ocean's 8, as well as Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP In Fina We Trust.
