Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero was an American singer and model from the United States. Kotero was also co-starring with Prince in his 1984 film, Purple Rain. She was the main female singer in Apollonia 6 and co-starred in Prince's film Purple Rain from 1984. The actor and singer christened Apollonia by Prince became one of the many female artists in the '80s to benefit from her association with the Purple One. Patricia Kotero, born 1959 in Santa Monica California began her career as a model and actress. In the late 70s she was a guest on CHiPS. Kotero was the female lead for Prince's Purple Rain in 1984 (at which point he had changed his name). The same year, she took over Vanity as part of the group Vanity 6 as well as performed alongside their name Apollonia 6 in the film.
